#WainuiomataWomen is a ministry run out of Valley Church, Church of Nazerene in Wainuiomata, New Zealand.
The ministry began when christian friends Denise Anglesey and Gaylene Pluck connected at a local Fruit and Vegetable Co-op and found they had similar passions to teach women how to be more resourceful. The ministry began in March 2017 and up to 22 women meet weekly to learn valuable skills which can be applied at home to save on groceries, gifts, the garden, the wardrobe and lots more. |

Annual Women's Fashion Swap
Wainuiomata Women hosted its first fashion swap in July 2017, where up to 40 women swapped fashion items,
enjoyed supper and connecting with each other.
This was following the following year in April 2018 where the sell out event saw 75 women swap fashion from
Vintage to well known labels, fun garments and essential wardrobe expanders.
Money raised from the event goes towards sending a team to assist annually to where they assist at the
Mango Tree Respite Centre.
