ReFAB takes waste textiles headed to landfill from local second hand stores in Wainuiomata and reuses the fabrics in the following ways.
Washing and redistributing clothing that is wearable.
Donating rags to local mechanics.
Cutting up textiles and reusing to make unique up-cycled environmentally friendly products for retail.

To save as much clothing and waste textiles from within our Wainuiomata community as possible going to landfill and being shipped to third world countries where it can become an environmental and/or health risk.
To train people in our community to sew and learn other aspects of small business management with the aim of eventually employing some of these people and act as a local training facilitity.
