Fund Raiser Fashion Swaps
For three years running Denise & Gaylene from Wainuiomata Women and Kereru Creative have hosted the annual Wainuiomata Women Fashion Swap at Valley Church in Wainuiomata.
With assistance in the morning from the Wainuiomata Women's group who meet each Friday, they transform the retro fitted church into a boutique.
Women purchase fund raiser tickets and bring up to fifteen items in good quality condition including shoes, accessories and clothing to swap.
Money raised from the event goes towards supporting assistance teams to travel to Tonga to help where needed at the Mango Tree Respite Centre. The Centre provides much needed care for families with disabled children.
